Meet Quinton Wickens of Q’s Customs in Las Vegas, Nevada
Interview by Tess aka Mrs QuickTrick
Quinton has been a great supporter of QuickTrick products. We got to know him while he was at Nefarious Kustoms, working on a SEMA Show build. We are grateful for his support and hope the interview can “pay it forward” with some new business and followers on IG. Quinton also answered questions in the video above. Thanks again Quinton!
Lets Get into it!
QuickTrick: Thanks for sharing your time with us Quinton. We are grateful to be able to highlight a small business member of the QuickTrick Family. You have been an amazing supporter of our products, and we are proud to be associated with your success.
For those that don’t know, Quinton is the owner of Q’s Customs in Las Vegas Nevada. He was previously with Nefarious Customs, Toyota, Lexus and others. He has a fantastic reputation with the community in Nevada.
QuickTrick: Tell us a little about how you started your shop and what you specialize in handling?
Quinton: I started my business while I was still working for a dealership. I built my customer base over the next few years. Then I took the leap once I knew I had enough work. I specialize in trucks. high speed offroad and low speed.
QuickTrick: When did you start working on vehicles?
Quinton: I’ve been working on vehicles my whole life. Ever since I could walk. I tore down my first big engine by myself when I was 11. It was a tall block 427 in my dad’s boat. I’ve worked at a body shop as the mechanic, independent shops, Toyota dealership, Lexus dealership, 4 wheel parts, and Nefarious Kustoms.

QuickTrick: What has been your biggest challenge in starting your own business?
Quinton: The biggest challenge for me starting the business has been learning to not say yes to every job.
QuickTrick: What advice would you give someone interested in breaking free and opening their own automotive shop?
Quinton: The biggest piece of advice I can give is the bigger jobs are not always good. Multiple smaller jobs usually end up making better money and having better quality from repetition.
Luckily I currently work from home. So anytime I want I can come inside and see my kids or talk to my fiancée about things.
QuickTrick: We know have you have a beautiful family with 3 young ones. What keeps you sane and gives you peace in the chaos of owning your own shop? Any hobbies?
Quinton: My hobbies are offroading and our off road toys. My oldest (4) has a yfz50 quad and a pw50 dirtbike. I have a ttr-110 that I follow her around on usually with my second daughter (2) on the front. My fiancée and I used to ride dirtbikes before the kids but we sold them and got a 4 seater 2021 can am x3 turbo rr rs smart shox. We love going to the dunes.

QuickTrick: How do you get customers?
Quinton: I usually get customers through instagram. Also from working on basically the whole communities trucks, so word of mouth is great.
QuickTrick: What is your favorite part of your business and what is the task you dislike the most??
Quinton: My favorite part of owning my own business is being able to just be in charge of everything. but coincidentally thats also my least favorite part.
QuickTrick: Where can people find you if they need your expertise and services?
Quinton: Best way to reach me is usually through instagram!
QuickTrick: Sounds like a great way to avoid the costs associated with websites, etc. Smart!
Thank you for sharing yourself. We know you do great work and a lot of customization. We hope the interview brings you more business.
