How to Center Your Steering Wheel Like a Pro

Step-by-Step: Steering Wheel Straightening

🅿️ 1. Park It Right

Find a nice, flat surface to work on. Make sure your wheels are pointing as straight as possible before you get started.

🔧 2. Locate the Tie Rods

Pop under the front of your car and find those tie rods. They connect your steering rack to the wheels, and there’s one on each side—driver and passenger. You’ll see a locking nut on each one.

👊 3. Loosen Things Up

Using your wrenches, loosen those tie rod nuts. Don’t take them all the way off—just loosen them enough so you can make some adjustments.

🔄 4. Make the Adjustments

Here’s where the magic happens:

• Turn the right tie rod clockwise = pulls the right wheel in, pushes the left one out
• Turn the left tie rod counterclockwise = opposite effect
